Faithful God Trust Jesus Devotional

God is Faithful

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations.  The LORD is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.  (Psalm 145:13)

We are half way through our Proverbs study, so I want to check in with you.  What’s God doing in your life?  How has God increased your wisdom through the study of the Proverbs?  I would love to hear all about it.  May we put Proverbs 27:17 into action which says,

“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” (Proverbs 27:17)

Let’s sharpen one another with the Word of God this week!  I’ll start by sharing what God is doing in my life through this study.

This last week, I was hit with some news about our car.  It has gone through quite a few repairs and I was told it needed a few more.  The cost seemed like it wouldn’t be worth it.  That day, I had a little break down with the Lord.  It wasn’t just the car that was bothering me, it was some news I had heard during the week…  But the car was the last straw.  My first reaction to a broken down car was to fix the situation.  I thought I’ll just go get the car, bring it home, put in the garage and rent something for the week.  I went in to fix-it mode.  I was searching on the internet how to make this all possible.  I was determined to make things right.

Well, not long into my search on the internet… I really felt God stir in my heart to stop!  Stop what I was doing and seek Him.  Oh, that did not come easy for me.  I slowly stepped away from the computer and made my way to my prayer room.  I placed some worship music on and just started to soak in the promises of God.  I really didn’t feel like praising God…  But that’s just it, even when I don’t feel like it, I need to do it.  And sometimes that’s when I need to do it the most.

The first ten minutes, I wasn’t really into it….  But that eleventh minute, oh that’s when I started to truly praise God.  That was when I let down my walls!  I said, “Okay God, I don’t know why things are happening the way they are this week, but I will trust You.  I will trust in the promise that You will be faithful.”

“He is a Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.” (Deuteronomy 32:4)

God is faithful!  He will always be faithful!  This is my mantra, the thing that I continue to remember every day.  God has not failed me and He never will.  He has a perfect record in faithfulness and I know that He will not break it.

Have you experienced the faithfulness of God in your life?  How was God faithful to you this last week?  Please take time to daily celebrate God’s faithfulness in your life!

Dear Father God, Thank You for reminding me once again that You are faithful!  I know that You are my Rock, Your works are perfect, and all Your ways are just!  I trust in You.  I don’t have to ever understand what You are doing to fully trust YOU.  Lord, please continue to give me a heart that seeks You and stands firmly on Your promises!

A wonderful reminder of the power of faith and trust that comes through looking to the greatness of our God, not at our circumstances. Amen, praise the Lord!

Thank you Sarah, for listening to the Lord , taking a step back and waiting on Him. The past few weeks have been just that for me. If I can’t find a reason to praise the Lord in any situation that means I have forgotten what His Son Jesus has done for me. PTL Thanks for your honesty , it has been a good encouragement.

Yes, God continues to be faithful! It’s amazing what He will do when we just let go! Those moments we give Him his due place in our lives. I’m so grateful that Jesus died for my sins, so that I can freely approach God. What a gift to approach the throne of grace boldly, knowing that the price for my sin has been paid completely! Praise God for His continued work in our lives!
