Here is just a small taste of what we are going to find in the Proverbs…

1.  A Further Trust in God’s Work

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”

~Proverbs 3:5-6

2.  A Hope that Never Fails

“Eat honey, my son, for it is good; honey from the comb is sweet to your taste.  Know also that wisdom is sweet to your soul; if you find it, there is a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.”

~Proverbs 24:13-14

3.  An Opportunity to Grow in Discipline

“He who heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray.”

~Proverbs 10:17

4.  An Understanding of  True Generosity

“A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.”

~Proverbs 11:25

5.  A Look at the Rewards of a Controlled Tongue

“The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.”

~Proverbs 15:4

6.  A Peek into God’s Design for Friendship

“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”

~Proverbs 17:17

7.  A Fresh Look at Divine Guidance

“In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.”

~Proverbs 16:9

Dear Father God, I pray that You will teach me Your wisdom.  Lord, may I grow in understanding as I study Your Truth in the Proverbs.  May Your Word truly become a lamp unto my feet and a light for my path (Psalm 119:105).
