Never Regretted

I love this reminder in James 1:5.  I lack wisdom in quite a few areas.  Thankfully, God’s Word provides every bit of wisdom I could ever need.  Lately, I’m learning how invaluable my time is in the Word. Being a mom of two little boys makes it tough some days to get in as much time as I would like to. I find that I have to get up early before the sun is even rising to get in a good amount of time with the Lord.

Finding Wisdom in God’s Word

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.  (James 1:5)

This week,I want to talk about finding wisdom in the Word and the importance of believing the Word of God is for you.  There’s no room for doubt or condemnation when it comes to God’s Word.  We need to believe that every word in the Bible is there for a purpose.  We need to believe that God’s Word is for us!

Wisdom for Life

Wisdom for life comes in many forms but no one can offer us advice on this subject like God can.  That’s one of the reasons I love the book of Proverbs in the Bible.  It’s filled with rich thoughts on how to live.  It gives direction in a directionally challenged world.  It gives a glimpse of what life can be when we are surrendered to God’s purpose.  It leads us towards God and teaches us how to be more Christlike.

I’m excited to announce that the latest book in the Victorious Living Collection is being released today.  You can find Wisdom for Life anywhere that books are sold.  This was a fun book to put together on the Proverbs.  I wasn’t able to capture every nugget in the Proverbs, but I did do my best to give you at least a snippet.

No Complaining

Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe. (Philippians 2:14-15)

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about complaining and what it really means when we complain against anything.  Is not every complaint a direct complaint against God?  Is there a single complaint that does not carry with it a weight of consequence?  The consequence being something or someone is put down in our lives.  In this case, I feel that every complaint is a put down to God and actually insulting to the provision He has given us.
