Strength Trust God Devotional Bible

Strength through Scripture ~ Part 1

For the word of God is living and active.  Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

This last week I received an email that broke my heart.  I heard from someone who is really going through a tough time.  I know that she is not the only one.  I’ve come across quite a few people this last week who are hurting, angry at circumstances, and broken.  I’ve learned that I can’t change circumstances.  I can’t make things better.  But I know the One who can provide strength through these difficult times.

I’m sure that many of you are going through things that you don’t currently understand, so I want to encourage you through God’s Word.  There is nothing more powerful than the Word of God.  It will transform the way you look at a situation.  It will give you strength to walk through your current trials.  God’s Word will cut through the darkest hour in your life.  God will come through for you!  Trust in the Lord today and allow His Scripture to change the way you look at your current circumstances.

“The bolts of your gates will be iron and bronze, and your strength will equal your days.” (Deuteronomy 33:25)

God will always give you enough strength for each day you face.  No matter the day, His strength will rise to meet the needs that you have.


“Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him.  He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.” (Psalm 62:5-6)

Find rest in the Lord.  He will renew your strength.  He will give you the hope you long to have.

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.  They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”(Lamentations 3:22-23)

God’s mercies are new for you every morning.  You can unwrap the gift of His mercies daily.  He always has something new for you, every day that you surrender your life to Him.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

God has great plans for you.  His plans are to give you hope and a future.  Cling to this promise!  It was written for you!

“The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble.  He cares for those who trust in him.” (Nahum 1:7)

The Lord cares for you.  He will be your refuge in these times of trouble.

Dear Father God, Sometimes I really don’t understand why we have to go through the things we do.  But this I know, You never leave us to go through it alone.  You are always there!  You protect us, strengthen us, and show us that we can get through these times.  You never fail us, as Your Word continues to strengthen us!  I pray that Your Word will pierce through the darkest hour of our nights.

    God has certainly been there for me through many trials I would not have gotten through without him!!! Praise The Lord He Takes Care of us!!!
