My sweet little boy is going to be 2 years old on Saturday, May 16th.  I thought a perfect way to celebrate his two years of life is to write about him and the many lessons that God has taught me through him.  So this week I will be focusing on my son Zion and the beautiful gift he has been to me.  Before I continue, I thought it’s only fitting to also announce that we are expecting a little brother for Zion in June.

Rock and Sway

My precious boy Zion turned 10 months old yesterday!  These last 10 months have been filled with incredible joy and many opportunities to learn something new from my Heavenly Father.  I’m still amazed that God has entrusted me with the gift of my little boy.  His sweet developments daily fascinate me.  I’m blessed beyond belief. The Sweetest Six Months

Today is my son’s 6 month birthday!  I look back at these 6 months and find tremendous joy in the gift God has given me.  I’m still blown away that God entrusted me with such a sweet blessing.  I look at Zion and watch him grow.  I treasure each moment that I’ve been given with him.  I continue to hear from those around me that this time goes too fast.  But I’m thinking I want it to go just right…  I want to enjoy the moments I’ve been given with Zion.  I want to celebrate every little thing he does, every little grimace he makes, every sound he speaks, every little giggle, all the little movements, each new first, and every smile.

Simply Devoted

Wow, I can’t believe three weeks have passed since I’ve sat down to write a post!  Time is sure flying by with my sweet baby!

I just wanted to check in with all of you and let you know that I’m sorry for not finishing Romans 12 with you.  I’m still amazed at how much time my three and a half month old takes.  Zion is beautiful and more amazing to me every day.  I love watching him discover how each muscle works and learn new things on a daily basis.  I’m in a learning pattern as well.  This is all new to me, so I’m daily discovering how to be Zion’s mom.  It’s the most difficult and most rewarding job I’ve ever had.  It’s the greatest ministry I’ve ever played a role in.  I’m so blessed and I continue to pray for wisdom on how to raise my son!

No Need to Understand

One thing I have learned through this whole process (Choosing Joy Over Sorrow) is that I don’t have to understand everything.  The details of God are sometimes blurred to me!  Sometimes I don’t get why He does what He does or how does it.  But one thing I know for sure…  I can trust Him.  I can trust God with the details.  Genesis 1:16-17 says,

“God made two great lights–the greater light to govern the day

and the lesser light to govern the night.  He also made the stars. 

God SET them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth.”
