No Need to Understand

“As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb,

so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.”

~Ecclesiastes 11:5

One thing I have learned through this whole process (Choosing Joy Over Sorrow) is that I don’t have to understand everything.  The details of God are sometimes blurred to me!  Sometimes I don’t get why He does what He does or how does it.  But one thing I know for sure…  I can trust Him.  I can trust God with the details.  Genesis 1:16-17 says,

“God made two great lights–the greater light to govern the day

and the lesser light to govern the night.  He also made the stars.

God SET them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth.”

This is one of my favorite passages to cling to.  If God cared enough about the stars to set them in place, how much more does He care about the details of my life.  There is no detail out of place!  He continues to remain on the throne and direct the traffic of my life.  He is painting a beautiful masterpiece of my life.  He molds and makes me into all that He desires me to be.  He cares about every groove of my being!

“Yet, O Lord, you are our Father.

We are the clay, you are the potter;

we are all the work of your hand.”
~Isaiah 64:8

God is the Potter of my life.  I desire to stay formidable in His hands.  I want to remain pliable, even when the work of God hurts a little bit.  I want the rough edges of my life and my heart to disappear as God slowly works His wonders in my life.  I don’t want to miss a moment!  I want to treasure the fact the God loves me enough to give me some hard times.  He loves me enough to see me through those tough times!  He loves me enough to give me strength for every moment.

“The bolts of your gates will be iron and bronze,

and your strength will equal your days.”

~Deuteronomy 33:25

God never promised that my days would be easy.  But He does promise to give me enough strength for each day that I face.  Some days, I need a little more strength and God comes through in marvelous ways.  His strength is truly made perfect in my weakness.

“…My grace is sufficient for you,

for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

~2 Corinthians 12:9

Is there something you are facing right now?  Do you need the strength of God for the next moment?  I promise that God wants to come through for you.  He will do wonders in your life too!  Please know that you can cast every care, every burden, and every bit of sorrow on the Lord.  He cares for you!  He wants to see you through even your darkest moments!  He will never leave or forsake you.

…God has said,

“Never will I leave you;

never will I forsake you.”

~Hebrews 13:5

So I encourage you to cast every care that you have on the Lord.  Cast your burdens on Him and know that He will sustain you!

“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you;

he will never let the righteous fall.”
~Psalm 55:22

Dear Father God, I bring every burden of my heart to You.  I bring the burdens of my family and friends.  I bring the burdens of my readers.  Lord, You alone are worthy of our praise!  May we praise you even through the most difficult storms and find Your faithfulness to be real in every moment that we face!  We cast our cares on You, knowing that You care for us!

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

~1 Peter 5:7

    I love this Sarah. It made me cry. Your writing always does because you cut straight through to the heart of the matter – no pretense, no bull, just sharing God’s love for us. Thank you my dear sister. I love you.
