Trusting God

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Do you have a difficult time trusting God?  Is there an area of your life that you need to entrust to the Lord?  Let me give you a few reasons why you can trust God!  You can know that God will never fail you!  Let’s take a look at what the Proverbs have to say about this!

My Name is Pride

Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. (Proverbs 16:18)
My name is Pride. I am a cheater.
I cheat you of your God-given destiny…
because you demand your own way.

God is Faithful

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations.  The LORD is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.  (Psalm 145:13)

We are half way through our Proverbs study, so I want to check in with you.  What’s God doing in your life?  How has God increased your wisdom through the study of the Proverbs?  I would love to hear all about it.  May we put Proverbs 27:17 into action which says,

“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” (Proverbs 27:17)
