Never Regretted

I love this reminder in James 1:5.  I lack wisdom in quite a few areas.  Thankfully, God’s Word provides every bit of wisdom I could ever need.  Lately, I’m learning how invaluable my time is in the Word. Being a mom of two little boys makes it tough some days to get in as much time as I would like to. I find that I have to get up early before the sun is even rising to get in a good amount of time with the Lord.

Friend or Enemy of God ~ Pt. 3

Behold, I am coming soon!  My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.  (Revelation 22:12-13)

Monday, I shared with you some thoughts about what my Facebook and Twitter accounts have to say about my relationship with the Lord.  If you would like to take a look at that post you can read it here, Friend or Enemy of God ~ Pt. 1  Wednesday I shared some thoughts on what my Bible, conversations, emails, and books reveal about my relationship with the Lord. You can read that post here, Friend or Enemy of God ~ Pt. 2 Today let’s look at a few more things.  My hope is that we can further evaluate where God would like to use us through the different activities we daily participate in.

Good Enough

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise, give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. (Psalm 100:4-5)

Today I was taking a test that I have taken many times, but God showed me something new.  Have you ever had that happen?  It’s happened to me many times!  I’m so glad God can find new ways to speak to us even through the mundane things we have to do in life.  The test included some loud noises that made me think of the above verse.  In this world, we have to hear many things.

Time to Wake Up

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. (2 Timothy 4:7)

I cannot tell you how many times I have looked at this verse and asked myself, “will this be true of me some day.”  I believe with my whole heart that we can’t wait until tomorrow to start living out this verse.  We have to live it out today!  You can’t wait until next year to concern yourself about the kind of legacy you will leave behind because you’re not guaranteed next year.  You might not even be guaranteed next week, or tomorrow.  That’s not supposed to be a sad thought, it’s supposed to be your “good morning” wake up call!  It’s time to wake up and start living for God in a way that will show people you are running a marathon, not a 100-yard dash.  Will you be able to say you fought a good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith?  Let’s run the race together and finish well!

Reflecting the Father

Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody. (1 Thessalonians  4:11-12)

Make it your AMBITION:

1.  To lead a quiet life ~ we should all consider it an honor to live for God.  May the actions we live out daily speak of our Lord and Saviour.  In quietness, there is strength.  Be aware of your actions, as each one does speak loudly of the one you serve.  Serve in love moment by moment, breath by breath. Our actions often speak louder than our words.  What are your actions saying to those who are around you?
