Thankful God Jesus Praise

Good Enough

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise, give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. (Psalm 100:4-5)

Today I was taking a test that I have taken many times, but God showed me something new.  Have you ever had that happen?  It’s happened to me many times!  I’m so glad God can find new ways to speak to us even through the mundane things we have to do in life.  The test included some loud noises that made me think of the above verse.  In this world, we have to hear many things.

We hear things like:  “you aren’t good enough,” “when will you be like (fill in the blank),” “you are not a strong enough Christian,” “you’ll never measure up,” “you’re not worthy,” etc.

The Lord is calling you to enter His gates with thanksgiving and praise.  He wants to hear the praises of His people.  All the feelings of inadequacy can be left as you enter because in God’s house there is only room for praise.  In God’s house, “You are good enough, the only one you have to be like is Jesus Christ, through Him you will have enough strength, because of Him you do measure up, and in Him you are worthy.”

Once you realize everything the world has to say is false; you can begin to celebrate the goodness that lies just beyond the gates of thanksgiving and praise.  The Lord’s goodness and love is waiting for you.  He wants to pour it out on you in abundance.  The Bible says that God’s faithfulness will endure through every generation.  Wow!  God has offered you and I His goodness and love which endures forever.  Then He adds to that His faithfulness which will continue through all generations.  No one can ever offer you more than God!  I know we know this in our hearts, but I pray you will take the time to understand it more fully as you enjoy your weekend.  May you celebrate the goodness, love, and faithfulness of God every day!

Dear Father God, I pray that I will enter Your courts with thanksgiving in my heart and praise on my lips.  May I remember that Your love and goodness will endure forever.  Please silence the voices of the world around me and help me to tune in to Your sweet voice.

Faithfully Yours,
