Grace Dispenser

Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. (Hebrews 12:14)

I long to be a dispenser of grace.  I want to live in such a way that I dispense grace to all those I come in contact with.  I want to show mercy to those who are hurting.  I want to love the unlovable.  Give kindness to those who aren’t so kind.  I want to have a teachable spirit.  I want to show patience to those who can be difficult to love at times.  I want to be a Grace Dispenser.

Lord, please remind me that you have dispensed Your grace on my life in tremendous portion.  I pray that I will take what has so freely been given to me and give it to others.  I pray that I will not be affected by the moods of others, the test of times, the struggles, the battles, the moments of anxiety in life, and the storms that rage.

Lord, may I be steadfast in Your love and stand firm on Your Truth.  May I become a dispenser of grace!  I pray that I will not be swayed by this world’s opinions, by it’s desires, and it’s love to be recognized.  May I live my life to advance Your purpose and seek You every day that I live.  Please don’t let me walk out even a single day without You in the forefront of my mind.  May my heart fully go after You and may my mind seek to bring You praise!  All this and more I pray.

Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.(Psalm 145:3)

I’m a Sinner

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:8-10)

I’m a sinner saved by grace

Redeemed by the Blood of the lamb

Loved by my Father

Guided by the Holy Spirit

Conduit of Grace

And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity. (2 Corinthians 9:8, AMP)

‘I have made it back from my vacation in Minnesota.  It was so good to see my family and now it’s time for me to get back to writing.  Unfortunately, I did not have the time I needed to create new devotionals for you this week.  But I am working on a series that I think you will enjoy.  I’m looking forward to starting this new series with you next Monday.

The series will be on the Greatest Commandment that has been given to us.

Jesus replied, ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’  This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it:  ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ “

Free from Condemnation

But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.  At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them.  The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery.   In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.

But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger.  When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.”  Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.

At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there.   Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”

“No one, sir,” she said.

“Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”

~John 8:1-11
