I’m a Sinner
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:8-10)
I’m a sinner saved by grace
Redeemed by the Blood of the lamb
Loved by my Father
Guided by the Holy Spirit
Renewed by the Word
My sins put up an obstacle
Jesus paid the price to remove it
God forgave me through one sacrifice
The Holy Spirit convicts me
Gods Word sustains me
My sins get in the way daily
Jesus intervenes on my behalf daily
God forgives me daily
The Holy Spirit leads me daily
Gods word refreshes me daily
For my sins, I deserve death
Jesus died that I might live
God is saving a place for me in eternity
The Holy Spirit will guide me there
The Word of God will preserve me
I’m a sinner
Wicked from birth
My sins may not be visible to u
But God sees them
He knows me
He knows when I fall
And He knows how to get me back up
My sin is a burden I can’t carry alone
I lay it at the foot of the cross and ask for forgiveness once again
Naked and ashamed
Broken and burdened
But God steps in
Refreshing and strengthening
Renewing and sustaining
Providing and promising
God’s word is true
It continues to be my glue
Sticking with Jesus
My savior forever
Blood stained sins
At the cross once again
Not til heaven will i receive my crown
Until then I must remember
Yesterday is gone
Today is fleeting
Tomorrow is not promised
This world is not my home
I’m only passing through
My eternal home awaits me
