Joyful Living

Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Today is the release date for my brand new book Joyful Living.  I’m so excited to share this book with you.  Every devotional in this book comes straight from my heart.  Over and over again God has brought me back to these pages to remind me that joy is a choice.  Satan can’t steal my joy unless I let him.  This is my new favorite saying!  Every time something comes up to destroy my joy, I repeat this to myself.  I believe it with my whole heart.  If I give in to satan for a second… He’ll not only steal my joy but he will steal my hope, peace, and trust in God.  Joy is just the beginning.

Three New Books

In the future, when your children ask you, ‘What do these stones mean?’ tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD.  When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off.  These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever. (Joshua 4:6-8)

I wanted to let all of you know that I have three new books available.  I’m so excited to share with you the work of God in my life.  Lately, I have been camping out in the book of Joshua.  In the Old Testament, there were many memorials set up as reminders of the work of God.  These three books are my memorials.

Happy New Year

May this year be filled with God’s rich blessings for your life.  May you experience His peace in a new and refreshing way.  May the joy of the Lord truly be your strength!  And may all your days be filled with a hope that comes from fixing your eyes on Jesus!  My prayer is that each one of you and I myself will grow in great ways this new year!  May 2015 be our best year yet!

Brightly Shining

You are the light of the world.  A city on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.  Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your father in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16)

The Christmas season is in full swing.  It’s in this season, we have a tremendous opportunity to shine God’s light.  During a time where Christmas has become just another “Happy Holiday”.  We need to shine the light of Jesus.  We need to embrace the full meaning of Christmas.  Yes, gifts are great, the decorations are fun, the songs are beautiful, the food is amazing, and the family get togethers are the best.  But may we not forget the reason we celebrate Christmas.  May it not get lost in the shuffle of shopping, wrapping, and eating.  May we stop and embrace the message of this season, so someone new can experience Christ.

My Newest Book is Now Available

I am so excited to share the first book in my new series with you.  I have a contract for 12 books, all part of a collection of books called “Victorious Living Collection”.  This is the first one in the series.  Each book will be a 30 day devotional on one subject.  The first subject is joy!

God’s timing in these books has been absolutely perfect as I continue to walk through the storm of my Dad’s accident.   It has truly amazed me how God has given me the words for each of these books.  The Joyful Living book was in it’s finishing touches and about to be sent to production when my dad’s accident happened.  The pictures in this book were hand drawn by my dad.  The other books will not have his artwork in them until he is able to regain his ability to draw again.  So this book is extra special because it celebrates the talent that God has given to both my dad and I.
