Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and The Priceless Journey, Inc., a nonprofit organization ("The Priceless Journey," "we," "us"). They govern your use of The Priceless Journey mobile app (the "app"). By creating an account, ticking the box that says you agree, or using the app as a guest, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Eligibility

You must be able to form a legally binding agreement to use this app. The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it.

2. Guests and members

Some parts of the app, such as reading the Bible and the Journey, are open to guests. Other parts, such as the Community, Prayer Wall, Study Groups, friends, and sharing, require a free account or a paid membership. We may change which features are free, require an account, or require a membership at any time.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Please give us accurate information and keep it up to date. Let us know right away at tech@thepricelessjourney.org if you believe your account has been compromised. We are not responsible for loss caused by someone else using your account before you tell us.

4. Community guidelines

This app exists to be a safe, encouraging space. These guidelines apply everywhere you can write or share something, including Community posts and comments, the Prayer Wall, Study Group messages, Bible notes and shared verses, display names, and group names. You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, bully, impersonate, or attempt to identify, locate, or expose another user, including someone who is posting anonymously.
• Post content that is abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, or that promotes violence, self-harm, or harm to others.
• Use language that our filters block, or try to get around the filters.
• Share another person's private information, photos, or story without their permission.
• Advertise, solicit, spam, or post links to adult or harmful sites.
• Use the app for any illegal purpose, or in any way that could damage the app or other users.

5. Reporting, blocking, and moderation

You can report posts, comments, prayers, and people, and you can block other users from within the app. We review reports. We reserve the right to remove content and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice, particularly in response to a report. We are not required to monitor content, and we do not promise to catch everything. See the Privacy Policy's Safety & Reporting section for how reports are handled.

6. The Prayer Wall

Prayer requests can be posted anonymously or under your display name. Anonymous prayers appear as "A Priceless Sister." Anonymous does not mean untraceable to us. We keep the information needed to enforce these Terms and to respond to safety concerns or legal requirements. Please do not include details in a prayer that could identify you or someone else if you do not want them identified. Other members who pray for you are volunteers. We cannot promise any response, outcome, or follow-up.

7. Friends, groups, and sharing

You can connect with other members, join Study Groups, and send Bible verses, notes, and messages to friends or groups. What you send may be seen by everyone you send it to, who may screenshot or repeat it. Share only what you are comfortable with. Notes you mark as visible to friends can be seen by your friends. Notes marked private stay visible only to you. You can remove people and leave groups at any time.

8. The Bible reader

The app includes Bible text, highlights, notes, bookmarks, search, and cross-references. Highlights and notes are tied to your account. Bookmarks are saved on your device only. Scripture text is provided in versions we are permitted to use, and cross-reference data is credited inside the app. Do not copy or redistribute the Bible reader's compiled features, data, or design outside the app.

9. Not a crisis service, and not professional care

This app is not a crisis service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency service. The Help Center in the app lists national and state crisis resources, but neither the app nor The Priceless Journey staff and volunteers are a substitute for professional emergency, medical, legal, financial, or mental health care. Peer encouragement, prayer, devotionals, and community posts are not professional advice and do not create a counseling or other professional relationship. Please do not rely on the app, or delay seeking help, for an urgent situation.

10. Subscriptions

Membership subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, as selected). If you subscribe through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the purchase, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. You manage and cancel those subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings. If you subscribe another way, you can cancel in the app or by contacting us. Cancelling stops future billing but does not refund amounts already charged, except where required by law or at our discretion. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Prices may change with notice before your next renewal. Promo codes and complimentary access may be changed or ended at our discretion.

11. Donations

Donations made through the app are voluntary charitable gifts to The Priceless Journey, a nonprofit organization, and are generally non-refundable.

12. Event tickets

Event registrations and ticket purchases are subject to the specific terms, including any refund, transfer, or cancellation policy and any attendance limits, listed on that event's page at the time of purchase. Tickets are for the person named and may not be resold unless we say so. We may change or cancel an event, and will describe your options if we do.

13. Hope Library suggested donations

Hope Library resources are offered on a suggested-donation basis, not sold at a fixed price, consistent with The Priceless Journey's nonprofit status. Resources are for your personal use.

14. Content you post

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give The Priceless Journey a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and share that content inside the app as intended, for example showing your Community post to other members or delivering a verse you sent to a friend. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other people have already seen or saved, and copies we must keep for legal or safety reasons. You are solely responsible for what you post, and you promise you have the right to post it.

15. Our content

Devotional content, Scripture compilations, booklets, blog posts, the Journey, and other materials in the app belong to The Priceless Journey or its licensors and may not be reproduced outside the app without permission, except for your own personal, non-commercial use.

16. Notifications

If you allow notifications, we may send alerts such as reminders, event updates, friend and group activity, and verses sent to you. You can change this in your phone settings or in the app.

17. Third-party services

The app relies on third parties such as Apple, Google, payment processors, and cloud hosting. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. We are not responsible for them.

18. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available." We work hard to keep it reliable, but we do not guarantee it will always be available, error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. We do not endorse and are not responsible for what members post. Nothing in the app, whether devotional content, community posts, or otherwise, is professional medical, mental health, legal, or financial advice.

19. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, The Priceless Journey, its officers, directors, staff, and volunteers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

20. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time for violation of these Terms or to protect our community. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account removes your account information and the content tied to it as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should continue after termination, including those on content, disclaimers, liability, and governing law, will continue.

21. Copyright and other complaints

If you believe content in the app infringes your rights, or you want to report content that breaks these Terms, contact tech@thepricelessjourney.org with enough detail for us to find it. You can also use the in-app Report tool.

22. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

23. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the effective date and may notify you in the app. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

24. General

If any part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the app. Our not enforcing a part of these Terms is not a waiver of it.
