You are More than Capable
Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20, AMP)
At the playground with my boys, I notice some disapproving moms as I allow my boys to be more independent then some might dare. They are one and three and full of adventure. I hear the comments of those around me and think… “well, only I know what these boys are capable of. I know if I can trust them to climb the heights of the playground. I know them!”
Just like God knows me and only He knows what I’m fully capable of. Only He knows what I can do with the gifts He has entrusted to me. He knows me! I can’t listen to the world and it’s noise. They don’t know what I’m capable of. They didn’t design me. They don’t know my strengths. Only God knows me inside and out. Every detail! Only He knows what I’m capable of. So in Him I’ll climb the heights. I’ll move beyond my own limits to experience the freedom I have in Jesus Christ!
Have you been listening to the world lately? Have you lost sight of all that God has called you to do? I encourage you to remember that only God knows what you are capable of. He designed you for so much more and in Him you can climb the highest heights, walk through the deepest waters, take on the strongest giants, and come through the toughest of storms.
But now, this is what the Lord, your Creator says, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you [from captivity]; I have called you by name; you are Mine! “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you. (Isaiah 43:1-2, AMP)
Remember, only God knows what you are truly capable of. Please don’t listen to anyone else on this. Only God has the perspective to see all of you, all the time, and know what He has in store for your life.
Lord, I’m sorry for the times that I have not trusted in You and Your plan for me. I know that I often get side tracked by what others think and allow their words to paralyze me. Lord, I need to remember that only You know what I’m capable of. Only You know how far I can go! May I trust in You more and more every day that I live!
You and I are More than Capable in Jesus,
