God Jesus Devotional Bible Hope

When God Ran

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.  Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die.  But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:6-8)

What’s God doing in your life?

It’s Monday again and it’s time to reflect on God’s faithfulness.  How did you see God come through for you this last week?  How was God faithful to you?  Did God show you something new?  I would enjoy hearing how God is working in your life.  Drop me a line!

This last week, my heart has been broken for a few people who do not know the Lord.  Honestly, I think that is one of the hardest things in life for me.  I tend to grieve with people who do not have the hope, joy, and peace I have found in God.

I know that many of you know someone who is hopeless and hasn’t found the peace that you have deep inside.  I want to share a video with you to remind you all that God gave us through His Son and remind you how priceless it is.  May we become conduits of God’s grace!  May we learn how to share Jesus and His love.  I pray that people would experience Jesus through our actions, through our words, and through the lives we live daily.

It’s time to take a step back and examine what our attitude looks like.  Am I portraying an attitude of Christ?  Can people see God’s love through me?  What do I look like to others?  Oh, how I pray that my life would reflect God’s standards.  I pray that I would not give someone an excuse to turn away from God.  I pray that my life would only give someone a reason to want to know this great God that I serve.  I pray that God will humble me more each day that I live and help me to understand what His Word means for my life.

I pray I never forget the day that God ran to me!  The day my life changed.  The day that God said, “You are mine!”  The day that His everlasting arms engulfed me and loved me.  The day that changed my life for all eternity.  May I never forget the true freedom that has been given to me through the act on the cross.

May this video remind you of all that you have been given and the day that God ran to you!  May you become an ambassador for Christ and share His love with those in need this week!

For those who have seen this video and feel that they have never experienced this day.  May you choose today to turn and give your life to Christ.  May you just simply turn around and see that God wants to run to you.  He wants to love you right where you are at.  He wants to embrace you and offer you a new life.  Please don’t wait another moment to make things right with God!

Here are 4 Simple Steps to make Jesus the Lord of your Life:

1.  Admit that you are a sinner.

“There is no one righteous, not even one.”  ~Romans 3:10 (NIV)

2.  Be willing to turn from sin (repent).

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  ~Romans 6:23 (NIV)

3.  Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried, and rose from the dead.

~“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believed and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”  ~Romans 10:9-10 (NIV)

4.  Through prayer, invite Jesus into your life to become your personal Savior.

~”Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” ~Romans 10:13 (NIV)

Prayer!

Dear Father God, I am a sinner and I need your forgiveness.  I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins.  I am willing to turn from my sin.  I now invite Christ to come into my heart and be my personal Savior.  In Jesus Name, Amen

Memory Verse: Romans 5:6-8

Dear Father God, Thank You so much for running to each one of us when we give our lives to You.  That is such a precious day and I continue to be amazed that You would run for me.  I’m so grateful that You sent Your Son, so that I can experience a relationship with You.

Celebrating the day He ran,

I love your style of writing you go deep with compassion for the lost. For me I have been doing allot of praying for the lost and marriages. So many people marriages are in trouble and the enemy is having a field day if I will say. The lost are hurting and many of us see them and offer no words of comfort which makes me sick to my stomach. Because we are the hands and the feet of Christ. We should never be satisfied when so many people are needing Christ. Yes to bring one in is a blessing but we can’t stop there we must tell everyone. I know for me the Lord has been speaking very clearly to me about prayer and telling me to pray more then what I already do. And to pray for specific things, I am not sure why those things but I have to be obedient and do what He says.. Thank you for being honest and placing the Sinner’s Prayer on your blog. I know someone will receive it in the name of Jesus. And that another will enter into the Kingdom of God

Thank you Desiray! My heart of compassion does go very deep for the lost. I ache inside for those who do not know the hope we have come to know. We are tremendously blessed and I pray that we can be that light on the hill that Jesus talked about. May we continue to learn how to shine brightly for the One who came to dispel the darkness.

You are absolutely right about marriages! I’m seeing that myself. It’s great that you are standing up as a warrior for Christ! Keep up the great work and may God continue to strengthen you in your endeavors! May He use you in mighty ways!

There is power in our prayers and God will move mountains! May we continue to hang on to His Word!

“The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” ~James 5:16
