Top 5 Verses to Encourage Moms
The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears it down. (Proverbs 14:1)
I think the best way to ensure that we are building our homes and not tearing them down is keeping our minds on Christ. It is so important to memorize God’s Word so that when the mommy failures come (and trust me there will be many, I can testify of this!) we are equipped to handle them. God can quickly draw us back to His Word and use it to breathe new life into us.
Motherhood is tough. There is nothing easy about it. The enemy is constantly on alert looking for the mom who is struggling and ready to attack her. May these 5 verses be a go to for you the next time the enemy tries to attack!
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23)
Today is a new day mom. Stop focusing on the mistakes of yesterday or where you went wrong. Focus in on God’s faithfulness and His mercy. He’s got something good in store for you today!
“Therefore, my dear brothers stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58)
Every minute you put into your children is not in vain. Every prayer you pray is heard. Every tear you cry is caught by God’s loving hands. None of this is in vain! God has a purpose through it all.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9)
A harvest is coming. That’s a sure thing. Don’t give up. God is doing a good work in your children and He will be faithful to complete it.
“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” (Proverbs 31:25)
Don’t forget to laugh mom! You are clothed with strength and dignity in the Lord. Trust Him, He’s got this and He has you through it!
“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” (Colossians 3:2)
We must set our minds on what matters most. There is an eternal work being done in your home as you raise disciples to follow Christ. God has equipped you to be everything you need to be for your children. He wants to use you to help them understand His heart for them!
Dear Father God, Motherhood is definitely one of the toughest things I’ve ever done. I’m thankful every day for the guidance You give me in Your Word. Please help me to stand strong against my enemy and to declare that You are faithful today as I walk through the mess that can be inevitable with motherhood!
Please make me more like You so my children see Jesus in me,
