This [day in which God has saved me] is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24, AMP)
The Lord has really impressed on my heart to simplify some things. So I’ve been taking a step back and looking at ways I can simplify. I find that joy is often squashed and even snuffed out when life gets too busy. Sometimes it becomes an art form to say how busy we are.
However, in God’s Word I see over and over again that it was those who lived simply who experienced the greatest joy. The ones who didn’t get too busy to wait on the Lord. Busyness can be such a tool of the enemy sometimes distracting us from what is best by laying good things at our feet.
It’s a daily choice to choose things that matter. Moments that can be maximized. Living right now and appreciating what God has given me. I’m learning that I need to embrace my season better. I will be writing a little more on motherhood and sharing some of my heart through it. I have learned so much about the Father’s heart through my beautiful boys and I hope to share that more with you in weeks to come.
If you know someone who is hurting and struggling to find joy in motherhood, please invite them to receive these devotionals. My prayer is that I can use my daily challenges, my sweet moments, and the things that God is teaching me through the craziness to equip and encourage other moms.
On Friday, I will start sharing about the Father’s heart and how I have learned the meaning of grace through my children. Tune in to hear how you too can embrace grace and live more fully in what the Lord has for you.
Dear Father God, Thank you for entrusting me with this season. I pray that I will be a better steward of my moments and embrace all that You have for me through this season.
