The Warrior’s Prayer
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:10-12)
I am a warrior. God has equipped me to lead a warrior’s life. I do not have to cower in fear or be anxious of the future. God is my King, my Commanding Officer, and I can show up to the battle lines ready for war. I do that by walking in the full armor of God. This passage of Scripture equips me to walk confidently and in my God-given authority. There is no need for me to shrink back. No need to apologize. It’s time for war and I’m ready!
David Jeremiah offers an incredible prayer to equip us for the warrior’s journey. May you pray this and believe that you too are equipped to do battle against the enemy.
Heavenly Father,
Your warrior prepares for battle.
- Today I claim victory over Satan by putting on the whole armor of God!
- I put on the Girdle of Truth! May I stand firm in the truth of Your Word so I will not be a victim of Satan’s lies.
- I put on the Breastplate of Righteousness! May it guard my heart from evil so I will remain pure and holy, protected under the blood of Jesus Christ.
- I put on the Shoes of Peace! May I stand firm in the Good News of the Gospel so your peace will shine through me and be a light to all I encounter.
- I take the Shield of Faith! May I be ready for Satan’s fiery darts of doubt, denial, and deceit so I will not be vulnerable to spiritual defeat.
- I put on the Helmet of Salvation. May I keep my mind focused on You so Satan will not have a stronghold on my thoughts.
- I take the Sword of the Spirit! May the two-edged sword of Your Word be ready in my hands so I can expose the tempting words of Satan.
- By faith your warrior has put on the whole armor of God!
- I am prepared to live this day in spiritual victory!

Thank you I have been having .a big battle with my faith I pray and ask for forgiveness and I still feel the shame in what I have done in my past and i lie and steal and ask for my holy father to forgive me .and not only that my husband of 17 year’s got angry about he’s job and so he has not really been working since September 29 ,2016.he use to believe in god but has turned his back on him . Cause he said what kind of god would just sit and watch all this pain and death done to little kids etc..I keep my faith please pray for us we need it .I go to a church for my peace of mind but feel I get judgment by some members. But I tell myself it’s just my inter demon tiring to keep me from my lord and savior thank you for letting me type this out melody leach
Hi Melody, Thank you for your transparency! I’m sorry to hear all that you are facing. I want to remind you that even though we face trials and tribulation in this world, we serve a God who has had the ultimate victory through His Son Jesus Christ!
“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]” (John 16:33, AMP)

I try to pray over my family and husband every day going through the storm right now been difficult. My husband and son need to repair there relationship in jeopardy both going through different things affecting whole family. The enemy is trying to break me staying strong through warrior prayer

My family and I too are struggling in life. we went from having a home to being homeless and still are homeless. If not for my boss who goes against what she is not allowed to do provides a roof over our heads on a day to day basis. We have to switch units very frequently, and really can not settle in I thank you Lord fir sending her to us. I look for a place to rent and noone has accepted us, but I will not give up , we deserve to be safe healthy and live a happy life. I truly believe that God will nit let us down I pray to you Father to keep us safe and to help me find a home . I want to say so much but dont want to sound desperate which I am so desperate. Please pray for us.. Thank you for letting me post.
