Giving Thanks

Are you richer than 75% of people in the world?

1. If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep, you are richer than seventy-five percent of the people in the world.

2. If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death you are more blessed than three billion people in the world.

3. If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation, you are more blessed than five hundred million people in the world.

Adding a Little Flavor

“You are the salt of the earth.  But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?  It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.  You are the light of the world. Let the World Know

Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live and in your name I will lift up my hands. (Psalm 63:3-4)

This Scripture passage has meant a lot to me over the last few years and today it was a fresh reminder of God’s faithfulness to me.  His love truly is better than life and with every breath I take, I hope I can praise Him to the best of my ability.  I want to glorify the One who knows me best, the One who daily gives me new moments to live out.

It is always such a blessing to read God’s Word and be refreshed by the contents I find inside.  This Psalm has continued to be like a refreshing spring of water that I find myself making weekly trips to get my dose from.  My hope is that you will write it down and apply each word to memory.  Please allow God to use the words of this passage to minister to your heart and refresh your soul.
