It’s been a tough two and a half months, that I’m slowly starting to feel some relief from. It became overwhelming to keep up with this and everything else while still trying to enjoy motherhood through my difficult season. It was easier for me to just put this to the back burner while I faced losing my brother-in-law to cancer, trying to help my siister and her family through this difficult time, experienced kidney stones and a kidney infection, a couple popped ribs, and helping a friend through a difficult season herself. All my free time went to one of these things and left me little time to sit down and write. Or at least when I had any extra free time, I was resting in the Lord. Read more

Your Presence is Heaven to Me

The LORD replied, ‘My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.’ (Exodus 33:14)

My prayer for you today is that you will find rest in God’s presence.  May you find strength as He lifts you up.  May your hope be restored as God renews your vision.  May God’s peace truly guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus.  May you never worry of what’s to come or how bad the storm of life will get.  May you only rest in knowing that God is for you, always for you…  and because of this there is no one who can stand against you. Are you soul weary?  Are you having a difficult time seeing the light at the end of the tunnel?  Is your heart heavy for someone right now?  Do you just need a moment of rest, a moment to breathe, a moment to escape the downpour in your life?  Jesus has the answer.  He has made a way for you.  Here are the steps to true rest for your soul.

Step 1 ~ Come

Yes, it’s that simple!  All you have to do is show up!  God wants to take care of the rest.  Jesus simply said, “Come to me…”  Will you come?

Let Go of the Baggage
