Keep a Healthy Perspective

Let us not become weary in doing good for at the proper time we will reap a harvest, if we do not give up. (Galatians 6:9)

I am enjoying this 7 week series of learning how to live a joy-filled life with you. I would love to hear how you took time to maximize your moments last week. How did you minimize your distractions and get the most out of the moments that God gave you? Please feel free to share your thoughts with me or if you need to read last week’s secret you can read Maximize your Moments.

Joy and Praise are Linked

Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy in his dwelling place. (1 Chronicles 16:27)

Live It Out

You can’t have joy without praise, and it’s impossible to praise God without feeling joy. It’s in the moments we take our eyes off of ourselves and place them on the Lord that we experience joy. It’s when I say, “O God, You are good even when life doesn’t feel so good.”

Joy vs. Happiness

The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. (Psalm 126:3)

There is a huge difference between joy and happiness. You can experience joy without feeling happy, but you can’t experience happiness without being joyful.

Happiness is a feeling that changes with the emotions we have in a day, but joy is a constant state of being that we choose.
