I See You

The issue of human trafficking has never been heavier on my heart than now.  The last time that I remember it being to this heavy was August of 2018.  I woke with a weightiness in my spirit and I was prompted to write.  I believe this is the right time to share it with you.

He sees the victims and their families.  He has an answer and His answer is you!  My question is this; will you answer when he calls?  Will you go and do what He asks you to do?  Will you support those who are already in the fight?  Will you RISE UP?

These are the words the Lord gave me to write.

8-8-18

I see you

I see you deep below the hulls, I see you

God Sees You

He sees you no matter where you are.

I see you in the rooms, I see you

I see you in the darkness, I see you

I see you taken; I see you

I see you trembling and crying, I see you

I see you broken and abused; I see you

I see you bought and sold; I see you

I see you hurt and used; I see you

I see you captive, held against your will, I see you

I see you battered and bruised, I see you

I see your terror and your pain, I see you

Why don’t you help me, you ask?

Why don’t you hear me, you ask?

Why don’t you find me, you ask?

Why don’t you send someone, you ask?

I am

I do hear you

I will help you

I have found you

I will help you

I will send someone

If they will listen when I call

If they will follow what I ask them to do

If they will not delay

I hear the cries of your parents and those that love you

Desperate to find you

Desperate to hold you again

Hopeless and helpless, crying out to me

Where are you God, they ask

I am here, I am here

I am limited in what I can do

I cannot override man’s free will

I cannot make anyone do anything

The wicked one is at work

The wicked one has been hard after your children, this generation

He is after innocence and purity

His mission is to defile

His mission is to kill, steal and destroy

He is not alone

He has an army

He works in the heart of men and uses them to carry out his will

He is after the heart

Those taken and those waiting for them

I know it doesn’t make sense, but you have to trust me, no matter what

You have a choice

A choice to pray, believe and trust

A choice to forgive and let go

A choice to give it to me and let me help you

I will give you

peace, in the midst of the worst things imaginable

I can’t make you do this, it’s a choice

I am at work if you will only believe and allow me to be

I can only work through the hearts of men, just as the wicked one desires to do

I too have a mission

To save the lost, heal the brokenhearted and restore all that was damaged and taken

To restore innocence and purity and to cleanse that which was defiled

My mission is to give life and life more abundantly

To wipe away the tears and bring joy where there was once great sadness

I am not alone

I too have an army, growing day by day

I am equipping them and training them to take on the wicked one and win

Do not lose hope, even if the outcome is not what you want

Either way, I am with you

Whether here or in heaven

I know this is not the answer you want.

I know you want me to take all this from you, but I am limited in what I can do

I gave Everyone the right to choose, even you

Today you have the choice

To forgive those who have hurt you, mistreated you

Right where you are, you have to choose which way you will go

The way of the wicked one or will you choose my way

My way is not easy, however, you are not alone

I am with you and I will help you

Whether you are in the bottom of the boat held captive at this moment or waiting in the room for someone to come in

Or whether you are sitting in your home in your room crying out to me, praying for your loved one

I am with you, I hear you, I see you

Trust me

I am raising up an army

I am calling for more warriors to come alongside those already in place

Fearless and bold, going into places unknown

Following my voice to lead them to your cries

I am working, more than what you can see or understand

It will take time; some will be lost to this world but not lost with me

Paul said to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord

There is more than what you see in this world

There is an eternity, where will you spend it

You get to choose

Today, I call out to those who are with me

I call out to my army, RISE UP

Take your positions, ready yourselves

I am ready to pour out upon you

In every position, whether behind the desk or on the front lines

Ready yourselves for a supernatural equipping

The war has already been won

But the battle is just beginning

I see you

I hear you

And I will find you

I am at work

Trust me, no matter what it looks like

I am coming

Hope in Uncertainty

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.] ~John 16:33 (AMPC)

This is an unprecedented time for sure. A time of uncertainty in many ways. A time that tests us. A time that reminds us to be grateful for what we have and to cherish our loved ones.

This time will not soon be forgotten. It will be etched in our minds forever. A time we were forced to slow down. A time we had to simplify. A time of rationing TP. A time of embracing the moments and watching our children just a little more carefully.

A time unlike any before and unlike any again.

A time where staying put was applauded, putting aside agendas encouraged, and calendars cleared for the sake of the community.

It’s a time that has caused me to do much reflecting. I feel steady in a very unsteady situation. I feel peace in the turmoil around me. I feel an inner strength rising up in me that I didn’t know even existed. I’ve been wondering why do I feel so at peace and not shaken by this. Don’t get me wrong, I had a few days of stress and anxiety.

But somewhere in there I stopped to just focus on my Savior, stopped to hear the whisper from God. That’s when I found myself remembering the many times of uncertainty in my past. Each one defining me and equipping me to be who God has called me to be in this moment.Times I didn’t know what the outcome would be or when I’d arrive at that outcome.

Times that scared me and left me waiting for answers.

I think back to when I was a little girl in the hospital with a rash that no one could figure out. It grew and grew. There were no answers. I laid in that hospital bed for two weeks. My diet consisted of popsicles as the sores in my mouth prevented me from enjoying any other foods. I laid there wondering when they would have the answer and when I would be able to see my siblings again. My siblings couldn’t come in because I could be contagious. Treated like I had the plague. Answers not easily found. A lot for a little girl to take in.

Uncertainty was great at that time.

Funny thing is we now call that same disease, “hand, foot, and mouth disease”. Thirty plus years ago there were no cases to compare it to.

I was one of a kind. An anomaly.

A word I’ve come to appreciate in the start of my 40s.

You see in that hospital bed waiting for answers and not knowing what tomorrow would hold. I had to reach out to the only constant I’ve ever known. I had to trust God. He didn’t step off the throne during this experience. He was there in the midst of it all. He was there to keep me steady. He was my refuge. My strength. My rock. The One I could count on.

He’s there for you too in the midst of all of this. He is your hope in uncertainty.

I know things feel crazy. I know there is a great level of uncertainty right now. Answers are hard to find and solutions are minimal.

This is the time to lean in. The time to wait. The time to simply listen.

You’re in it. No turning back. Strengthen those spiritual muscles and run with your eyes fixed on the prize. It will be worth it!

I’ll be sharing more from the moments of uncertainty in my life in weeks to come. Stay tuned!

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. ~1 Corinthians 9:24

Dear Father God, we cry out to You for mercy on our land. May You use this tumultuous season to draw all men, women, and children to Yourself. May we be Your people. A strong force, a beautiful reminder of the Savior, a peaceful presence, and a hope unwavering. Help us to be steadfast in this very unsteady season! Give us the strength to run well and pursue You through this! Please comfort those who suffer a great loss through this and be what only You can be for all of us through this. A constant refuge in the storm.

Ps. Please share a comment on how God is bringing hope to you in this uncertain time. We would love to hear from you!

Dancing The Journey: Reflection

“Let them praise His name with dancing and make music to Him with timbres and harp.” ~ Psalm 149:3

I’m still in awe of what took place last Saturday. What a gift it was to have 10 ballerinas come together on one stage to worship our King and help us promote TPJ! As I sat watching how graceful they were and how they glided across the stage in perfect elegance, I thought to myself… “This is what we want every woman to experience in Christ.” We want her to know that she is free. That she can dance in the Lord and throw off every chain that would try to hold her bound.

dancing the journey reflection

Even in the darkest seasons of our lives, we serve a God who is at work

She is not defined by her past. She’s not defined by what’s been done to her or what she has done. Shame is not her motto. Her motto is that she is a trophy of God’s grace. He wants to do something incredible with her life. There is no one too far gone for Him. No brokenness that He cannot heal. No amount of ashes that He can’t bring beauty from.

We serve a God who is at work even in the darkest seasons of our lives. He is on the throne and He will be faithful through it all. Every song declared how God is someone who can be trusted even when life seems chaotic. Songs like, “Via Dolorosa, He’s Got the Best of my Love, and Breath of Heaven” revived our souls as we watched the ballerinas dance this with such elegance.

Ballet pieces sharing the lives of the 5 women in Jesus lineage, the full armor of God, and the woman at the well reminded us why we serve and who we are serving at TPJ. These beautiful displays of Scripture in dance left me in awe and breathless at the wonder of God. They were beautiful.

Then there was the finishing number that lit my spirit on fire. The one that ignited a deeper passion within me and gave me fresh fuel for the days ahead. That number was “Second Chances.” Oh, how beautiful it was to watch all 10 ballerinas on that stage show every woman that God is a God of restoration. He is a God of healing. He is a God who brings beauty from the ashes. He is a God of second chances!

You Are Radiant

Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.

Psalm 34:5  ESV

Radiant. What a word. David, the author of the Psalms, did not use the word beautiful, joyful, or even happy. He used radiant. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, radiant is defined as:

radiant

adjective | ra·di·ant  | \ˈrā-dē-ənt\

1a: radiating rays or reflecting beams of light
1b: vividly bright and shining : glowing
2: marked by or expressive of love, confidence, or happiness

radiant smile

3a : emitted or transmitted by radiation
3b : emitting or relating to radiant heat

My favorite definition of radiant is “vividly bright and shining : glowing.” It gives a glowing visual of the way we all will be in heaven, and on top of that, Christ promises to make us like that now! He will enable us to radiate to the world around us, and through that, people will see that we have hope in Jesus Christ. For we, as Christ followers, are not looking to this world, our families, or even to our careers, but to Christ!

Through Isaiah 40:31, Jehovah-Jireh (“The Lord Will Provide”) gives us a promise when we hope in Him: “For those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar on wings as eagles. They will run and not grow weary, they will run and not grow faint.” He promises to take care of us when we hope in Him! We are constantly surrounded by all the promises he gives us and all we have to do is to accept them!

So as you run your race throughout the day, remember to hope in the Lord and that He will make your face RADIANT!

Love,

Isabella
