Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26)
Are you facing the impossible? Are you tempted to give up? I have talked to a few different people this last week who are facing what they think is impossible. My heart aches for them and I pray that their eyes will soon get fixed on the Lord who never sees anything as an impossibility.
For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb.
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
Jesus said to him (Zacchaeus), “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.” (Luke 19:9-10)

Do you ever feel small in this big world? I can only imagine how Zacchaeus must have felt when trying to get a look at Jesus through the crowd. He was so small compared to everyone around him. He climbed the sycamore tree to get a good view of Jesus and Jesus responded in love. In love, Jesus invited Himself to the tax collector’s home. The crowd was shocked by this act towards a sinner, but Jesus continued in love.
The God of the universe–the One who created everything and holds it all in His hand–created each of us in His image, to bear His likeness, His imprint. It is only when Christ dwells within our hearts, radiating the pure light of His love through our humanity, that we discover who we are and what we were intended to be. (Wendy Moore)
