Promise of Peace
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14:27)
Peace! This is one of the sweetest promises found in God’s Word. We live in chaos at times. The world around us is falling apart but God is still on the throne and because of that we have a promise of peace. He brought that peace to us through Jesus Christ, His Son. I love the tshirt that says, “Know Jesus, Know Peace”. There is no peace without Jesus. A life void of Jesus equals a life of chaos! We know peace because we know Jesus. It’s really that simple!
Do you know Jesus? Have you experienced the peace that only He can offer? If not, please read more about Jesus here and learn about the peace that He offers.
“You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.” (Isaiah 26:3)
This verse shows us that there is a catch to having peace. Peace comes when we trust in the Lord. How can anyone have peace without trusting in someone bigger than himself? Only God offers a perfect peace. He offers a peace that passes all understanding. But to have it there is a condition. That condition is an unwavering trust in Him and His plan!
“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and you minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7)
God promises a peace that actually stands as a guard over your heart and mind. This peace protects you and keeps you through some of life’s most difficult moments. God’s peace is available at all times and always ready to stand guard over your heart and mind.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

Dear Father God, Thank Y for reminding me that You provide a perfect peace for my weary soul. Your promise of peace sustains me when the world falls apart around me. Your peace truly guards my heart and my mind as I serve You. I know that trouble is a guarantee while I continue to live in this world, but I can take heart in Your promise. You have overcome this world. The world and it’s chaos will only last so long. One day I’ll be with You and I’ll experience a perfect peace that my heart has never known. Until then, I pray that my heart will exist in the realm of peace that You offer me through Your Son Jesus Christ.
Clinging to the Promise of Peace,
