Christlike Prayer Gospel Jesus Humility

Praying Through the Gospels

When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret. And when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent word into all that surrounding district and brought to Him all who were sick; and they implored Him that they might just touch the fringe of His cloak; and as many as touched it were cured. (Matthew 14:34-36, NASB)

I would like to start a new series on here called, “Praying through the Gospels”.  Please take time to read the passage of Scripture I mention and ask God to work in your heart.  May these prayers through the Gospels bless and encourage you in your walk with the Lord!

Please feel free to share your own prayers, I would love to read them!

Here is my prayer from this passage…

Dear Father God, I see that many came to receive physical healing from Jesus, but failed to recognize their need for spiritual healing.  Lord, I come to You for spiritual healing.  I seek You and pray that You will show me where I have gone off track.  Please help me to see where my heart has not been pleasing in Your sight.  Help me to recognize where my attitude needs to change and give me the strength to walk every day ahead.  Lord, I want so badly to bring You glory and the greatest way I can do that is to recognize my need for You daily.

Lord, please test me and try me.  See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting (Psalm 139:23-24).  I pray that You will create in me a clean heart O God and renew a right spirit within me (Psalm 51:10-12).  I am Yours Lord!  I pray that my weakness will only serve to advance Your strength.  May Your purpose be what I long for and may my daily steps honor You!

Thank You Lord for the power of healing that You provide for my life!

You can read more on this in Mark 6:53-56.

Lovingly Yours,

      Hi Ruthie,

I’m sorry to hear that you spent time in the hospital but I’m glad you are on the mend. I pray that you will have added strength this week and that God will heal you completely. ~Sarah
