Overcome the World

Who is it that overcomes the world?  Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. (1 John 5:5)

I want in on this!  I want to be an overcomer!  I want to overcome this world and it’s challenges.  Are you in?  Do you want to overcome the things of this world?  The only way to do it is by making Jesus the Lord of your life.  Hand over the keys to your pain, give Him the reins to your heart, and surrender your life to His purpose.  I promise you that you will go much further in life with Jesus as Lord, than without Him.

Jesus wants to make Himself at home in your heart.  He wants to be real to you.  He wants you to know the power of God!  He wants you to experience the love that can set you free!

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”  ~John 8:36

Do you want to experience this freedom?  You can only have freedom when you have Jesus as the Lord of your life.

“He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.”  ~1 John 5:12

This seems pretty simple to me.  If you have Jesus, you have life.  Without Jesus there is no life!

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–not by works, so that no one can boast.”  ~Ephesians 2:8-9

There is nothing you can do to earn your way to Heaven.  God sent His Son Jesus Christ as a gift for you.  Will you accept Him?  Will you make Jesus the Lord of your life?

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”  ~John 3:16-17

God sent His only Son to die for you.  He wanted you to experience eternal life!  Do you know where you would be in eternity, if you were to die today?  If not, please take time to make Jesus the Lord of your life.  I would hate to see you miss out on the greatest opportunity this life has to offer.  An opportunity to know Jesus and see Him in glory!

Here are 4 Simple Steps to make Jesus the Lord of your Life:

1.  Admit that you are a sinner.

“There is no one righteous, not even one.”  ~Romans 3:10 (NIV)

2.  Be willing to turn from your sin (repent).

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  ~Romans 6:23 (NIV)

3.  Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried, and rose from the dead.

“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believed and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”  ~Romans 10:9-10 (NIV)

4.  Through prayer, invite Jesus into your life to become your personal Savior.

”Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” ~Romans 10:13 (NIV)

Please pray the following prayer, if you want to make Jesus the Lord of your life!

Dear Father God, I am a sinner and I need your forgiveness.  I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins.  I am willing to turn from my sin.  I now invite Christ to come into my heart and be my personal Savior.  In Jesus Name, Amen

Please if you pray this prayer or if you have any questions.  Feel free to contact me.  I would love to send you a Bible and some materials to help you grow in your walk with Jesus!

Dear Father God, I stand amazed at all Your Son went through for me!  The One who came to give me purpose!  Thank You for my eternal destination and hope that I’ve found in ONLY YOU!  I’m so grateful for the work of Your hands and Your abundant grace for my life!

Delighted to walk in the fullness of God’s Grace,
