New Every Morning

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.  They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.  (Lamentations 3:22-23)

Lord,

Thank Your for this brand new day.  Thank You that Your mercies are new today!  I pray that I will use this day wisely to glorify You!  I pray that I will be aware of every opportunity I have to share Jesus with those around me.  May I shine the light of my Savior brightly. 

Please help me to keep control of my tongue today, to stay calm, to love deeply, to forgive quickly, to respond in love, to be generous, kind and gentle.  I pray that You will give me a humble spirit and take every ounce of ugly pride that exists within my heart. 

Lord, all I want is to serve You, know You, and be used by You.  Lord, I humble myself before You.  Please create in me a clean heart O God and renew a steadfast spirit within me.  I pray that I will walk out my steps for You today and honor You with every word I speak.
