Living the Abundant Life

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). (John 10:10, AMP)

Lord, please help me to remember that my enemy is out to destroy me.  He is looking for opportunities today to steal, kill, and destroy me.  May I not forget that my enemy roams around like a roaring lion.

“Be self-controlled and alert.  Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.  Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.” ~1 Peter 5:8-9

Lord, please help me to be self-controlled and alert today.  May I stand firm in the faith that You have given me and resist the enemy when he comes to attack.

Today, I celebrate that You have come to give me life and not just that, You came that I might experience the full and abundant life.  Oh, how sweet that is!  Lord, I pray that I will enjoy the fullness of life that You offer me today!
