Living by Faith
Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!” When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed. (Luke 17:11-14)
Dear Father God, I have really come to appreciate the three words “as they went”. It was as the 10 lepers walked out their faith that they received the miracle. It was as they were going on with life that they experienced something that would forever change them. Lord, please help me to remember that life doesn’t stop when things are tough. Life keeps right on going. But it’s when I put feet to my faith that I see huge answers to prayer.
I need Your help to remember this! It’s as I walk along in faith, living life for You, my King… that I am healed, refreshed, strengthened, renewed, and ready for more! Your hand of love never stops pouring in to my life. You continue to be my steady rock in a not so steady world. You are my hope when the world is hopeless. You are my strength when all I feel is weak. You are my joy when life brings sorrow. You are my everything!
Lord, as I walk out today, please help me to remember…
“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1)
Read more of this in Luke 17:11-19.
Lovingly Yours Lord,
