Wait God Faithful

Just Wait

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. (Psalm 46:10)

Lately, I have been hearing two words from the Lord…  “Just wait…”  I would love for Him to finish that sentence.  Let me know what I’m waiting for, how long should I wait, and when can I be done waiting!  Waiting is not my strong suit.  But this is where God has me.  I continue to go to Him on many things and the answer continues to be, “Just wait…”

Really, that’s it!  Just wait!  I would love a little more information please, but it’s not coming.  Not at this time!  God has a plan and I’m sure it’s incredible.  I will have to wait, as only He knows what’s best.

I’m not sure where you are at in life right now, but I promise your period of waiting is just a season.  This is another opportunity to lean on God and His Word.  This is another opportunity to watch God do incredible things.  Really all we have to do is wait.  Maybe that’s not so bad in the context of all that God can do when we simply choose to wait on Him.

So here it is, I will be still.  No matter how difficult it is!  I will choose to pray, seek God and His Word.  I will wait on Him.  I want Him to be in control.  If that means waiting, then waiting I must do!  Will you wait with me?  Will you allow God to come through in His timing and not yours?

Dear Father God, I know I’m not good at this waiting thing.  It’s not really something I enjoy, but when my eyes focus in on all that You can do through my waiting… my attitude changes!  I’m okay with waiting if it means that I can have Your best in my life!  I choose to “Be still and know that You are God…”
