Eternity God Identity in Christ

Instrument of Worship

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God–this is your spiritual act of worship. (Romans 12:1)

Romans 12 begins with a call to worship.  A call to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice before the Lord.  We are dying to ourselves daily, so God can be glorified through us.  We are called to worship God with everything we have.

I am called to be an instrument for the Lord.  My thoughts, actions, steps, and words are to flow from a life of worship.  A life surrendered to God and His purpose.  My body is an instrument.  I choose to glorify God with each thought I think, each action I take, every step I make, and every word that proceeds from my mouth.  I want the Lord to make sweet music with my life.

I pray that He will show me the areas that are out of tune in my life and help me sing in harmony with the wonders of His grace.  May my life be surrendered to God’s purpose daily, so that my heart can play a beautiful melody before my King.  May my steps be in perfect rhythm with the Lord and may every day be filled with notes in perfect pitch.

I pray that I will be used to advance God’s glory.  I offer my body as a living sacrifice before the Lord.

Lord, please teach me how to make beautiful music to you with the days of my life.  I daily lay aside my desires, my dreams, my ambitions, and pray that I will walk out my days completely for you.  My energy, my resources, and all my strength is at Your disposal.  I choose to be an instrument of worship for my Lord and King!
