I’m Thankful for You
I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:3-6)
Dear Readers,
I thank God daily for you. My only purpose in writing has been to encourage you in the things of God and help you walk out God’s Word. It brings me great delight every time I read your comments about the work of God in your lives. Truly, there have been a few days that I’ve wondered… Is it worth it? Am I making a difference? Honestly, every time I get to that spot… I receive a precious comment, email, or message from one of you. Each one encourages me to continue writing about God’s faithfulness in my life.
I’m encouraged through who you are and all that you continue to become in the Lord. You sharpen me through your walk with God. “As iron sharpens iron so one man sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17).” You teach me to wait on the Lord. You have brought tremendous joy to my life by sharing in the words God gives me to write. What a blessing to walk through this journey of life with you! Thank you for being God’s light on the hill to me.
“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16)
Thank you for shining your light brightly! You make all the difference. Without your words of encouragement and words of affirmation, I would find it difficult to write. Thank you for spurring me on in the things of Christ!
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” (Hebrews 10:24)
Dear Father God, I want to thank You for those who read these posts. Thank You for their willingness to embark on a journey with me. Thank You for encouraging me through their words and their lives. Lord, I pray that You will continue to strengthen and encourage those who read these devotionals!
