God’s Promises

For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. (Psalm 33:4)

There are so many promises in God’s Word for His children.  These promises have been my anchor through the storm.  I have been clinging with all my might to the promises of God knowing that He will never fail me.  So in these next couple of weeks I want to dive in to these promises with you.  Let’s take a look at all that God promises us when we follow Him.  I’m looking forward to this new study with you.

1.  God will bring good through this.

“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”  (Romans 8:28)

 2.  God has a plan.

“For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

3.  God gives perfect peace.

“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, not let it be fearful.”  (John 14:27)

4.  God provides incredible strength.
‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ (Isaiah 41:1)
5.  Nothing is impossible with God.

But He said, “The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.” (Luke 18:27)

6.  God holds nothing back.
For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” (Psalm 84:11)
7.  God will meet every need.

“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)

8.  God has the power to heal.

“For I will restore you to health and I will heal you of your wounds,” declares the Lord… (Jeremiah 30:17)

9.  God will wipe away every tear.
“and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)
10.  God will bring victory.
“He holds victory in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.”  (Proverbs 2:7-8, NIV)
All the above verses are from the New American Standard Bible unless otherwise noted.
Dear Father God, I cling to each one of these promises.  I know that you are faithful and true.  You will never leave or forsake me.  I know that you have a perfect plan.  May you continue your good work in my dad and may he have many years left to serve you.  I pray that he will have the strength to cling to your promises during these difficult days and that he will trust you with every step ahead.
