Omnipresent God Devotional Psalm

God is Omnipresent

Let’s take a look at Psalm 139:7-12 today.  This part of the Psalm is declaring that God is omnipresent.  He has the ability to be everywhere all at the time!  There is simply nowhere to run from God.  Let’s take a look at David’s thoughts on this and hear his heart towards God.

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? (Psalm 139:7)

David asks a rhetorical question of God.  He knows the answer, but he still asks.  God can handle your questions.  He can handle your doubts.  He can handle your fears.  Simply come to Him and ask Him what you may.  Just make sure to brace yourself for His answer.

“If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.” (Psalm 139:8)

For those who have made Jesus the Lord of their life, truly nothing can separate them from God.  Even death will not separate you from God.  In fact, you will never be more face to face with God than after you die.  Are you ready to face the throne of God?  What will be your fate when you die?  If you are still unsure of what life after death holds for you, please read FREE Gift.  Please take time to make Jesus the Lord of your life so that you can spend eternity with God.  I would love nothing more than to see you in Heaven one day.

“If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea…” (Psalm 139:9)

North, south, east and west…  David covers every direction to really amplify the fact that God is everywhere.  There is nowhere you can go to escape from God!

“…even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.” (Psalm 139:10)

God is always in touch with your life.  You are never beyond His divine reach!  His hand is forever there to comfort and guide you!

“If I say, ‘Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,’ even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.” (Psalm 139:11-12)

This darkness refers to the dark nights of the soul.  Those moments that ache in your life and times when you wonder if God is there.  I promise you He is.  There is never a dark moment that He is not there for.

Dear Father God, My finite mind has a difficult time grasping how infinite You really are.  I’m still amazed that You are all-present in my life and that You never miss a moment of it.  Wow, thank You God!  I never have to face anything alone because You are always with me.  Thank You for being the One I can always count on!

Trusting in God’s ability to be All-Present in my life!
