Are you richer than 75% of people in the world?

1. If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep, you are richer than seventy-five percent of the people in the world.

2. If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death you are more blessed than three billion people in the world.

3. If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation, you are more blessed than five hundred million people in the world.

4. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet and spare change in a dish, you are among the top eight percent of the world’s wealthy.

5. If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. (Psalm 106:1)

Does this put things into perspective for you?  It’s amazing how much we have to be grateful for.  Take a minute today and jot down a list.  Find at least 10 things to be thankful for.  Feel free to share them with me.  It’s so important to take inventory and to remember all that we have been given.  There is no room for complaining when we are praising God!  Let’s lift God’s name on high and rejoice in His good work!

For those of you who have already created a “Thankful List”…  I encourage you to take time and send 2 thank you notes to people who have made a difference in your life.  I promise that your “thank you” will make their day!

Dear Father God, Thank You for being ever so faithful to me!  Every day I wake up rejoicing in You.  I have been so blessed by the work of Your hands.  I never want to forget all that I have been given.  May today be a day that I respond with a grateful heart to my King!

Giving Thanks,
