Strength Trust God Jesus Devotional

Forever Strength in God

Whom have I in heaven but you?  And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Psalm 73:25-26

The days that I live on this earth are but passing moments, compared to eternity.  This earth really doesn’t have anything I desire in comparison to all the things that Heaven has stored up for me.  I desire to do my Father’s will.  To honor His heart on this earth.  He sent His Son to be a living sacrifice, an atonement for the sins that I make daily.  My flesh is weak and I often fail, but God still comes through on a daily basis for me.  He has never failed me and I know that He never will.

It’s time to surrender to the fact that my flesh will always be weak, but God will be the strength of my heart forever.  I’m living on the Lord’s time and I desire to walk out His steps as much as possible.  I know God is and always will be the strength of my heart forever and ever.  He will amaze me, even when my body has no strength of it’s own.  This is the time that God comes in and says, “I will be your portion, I will be enough!”

Let God be enough for you today!  May you surrender to His goodness today and let His strength reign in your heart!  You were not meant to carry your own burdens.  Lean on God and the strength that He offers you.

Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.
~ Matthew 11:28-30 (MSG)

Father God, I confess that I all too often try to be so strong on my own.  Thinking that I can somehow do everything without your help.  Please see past my foolishness and help me to surrender to you, that my heart may be strengthened by You alone.
