David, Chaplain

David served 53 years as a Christian and Missionary Alliance pastor in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland and New York. From 1983-2001, his ministry was to college students, serving as V.P./Dean of Students (11 years) and Chaplain (7 years) at Nyack College, north of New York City. From 2001 – 2017, he served as pastor of the Alliance Church in Spring Hill, Florida.

While serving at the college he gained a passion for the hearts of students, especially those living with pain, guilt and shame from life experiences not of their own making. The enemy loves to keep us trapped and defeated re-running old tapes of failure and hopelessness. But Jesus said, I have come that you might have life, and that more abundantly. You shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free!”

Sarah Lindberg and Chaplain David first met in 1997, during her freshman year at Nyack College. It was about 17 years later when they reconnected at a Sarah Malanowski book-signing event in Tampa. He says, “Since that day, my wife and I have read through all of Sarah’s books, a month at a time, at breakfast each morning. We deeply appreciate the depth of insight she shares, unfolding spiritual truths in such a practical way.
